A controversial Eden Housing project in downtown Livermore remains in limbo, the developer says, even with the support of both local and state officials. A pending environmental lawsuit filed in 2021 by Save Livermore Downtown, a community group, has prevented the non-profit developer from being able to accept a crucial source of state-awarded funding for its 130-unit affordable apartment project at the corner of Railroad Avenue and South L Street in downtown Livermore – a site that has been eyed for affordable housing since the late 2000s.
